When someone “audits” a college course, they aren’t taking it for any credit. They are essentially sitting in, and taking in the instruction. Maybe it’s for fun. Maybe they are doing it because the subject matter intrigues them. But they don’t have too much at stake. It’s like a practice run.
Some people approach life this way. They act as though the outcome doesn’t matter – or as if there are no ramifications whether they pass or fail. But life isn’t like sitting in on a class, where you don’t get a real grade. Mediocrity isn’t acceptable. In life, you get one chance. And everything truly is at stake while you experience it.
As a man, you must realize life is “it”. You are in the middle of it. What you do with this wonderful gift of time on earth is up to you, but no matter how you live your life – when it’s over, it’s over.
You have no “practice run” and there isn’t such a thing as a rehearsal for life. You’re living it. So take action, and give it your all. Make the most of life, right now.
